The Road Home

My very first time traveling alone in a foreign country. I went from Roatan, Honduras (bay islands) to La Ceiba via boat, then from La Ceiba to San Pedro Sula by bus.

I slept most of the way on the bus and was picked up by my cousin Arielle. I took this on the way from the bus station to her house, realizing very quickly that I was indeed in love with those green mountains.

I remember taking this picture, vividly. I almost shouted at Arielle, "I just got a good picture." It set the mood for the rest of my 5 weeks that I spent in her company. And as a result, she has become one of my closest friends.
